The stock reverse sockets seal pretty well without water entry.

When I did my project, I also put some hot black glue to help seal it. I also created a plastic piece to go below the wiring (above the exhaust) where the center bumper cutout is and tie wrapped it to make sure.

Furthermore, I pressure checked it. I also did the water test on the inside for leakage, and vacuumed it all out (including any condensation). It's bulletproof regarding moisture entry.

Bottom line, get a good socket, do a good job, and you won't have to go through and do all the testing I did.
