As for me, I think my door card project will be even more challenging than the center console.
Everything that is plastic I want to skin it in carbon, but I want to make the center area that looks like fake perforated leather in real perforated leather. Since everything is one piece I might have to cut that part out so that both can be individually covered in their own material. Hope you understand what I'm trying to say

I did it!! I pulled the trigger and ordered the panels. I might cut some better holes for the window controls so just the buttons stick through the panel.
I'm definitely going to miss my arm rest but that full carbon sheet is going to look so damn good, especially with the red door straps.
I might print out some sort of vinyl graphic/logo with my cutter and lay that under the epoxy, or maybe even mold in a gauge pod!
Should be a relatively easy skin though. I did finally end up biting the bullet and bought a full vacuum system for my skinning. I used it for the first time this year on some small interior pieces and it boy did it really make a difference. Would highly highly recommend.
I'm a fan of what I think you're envisioning here. If you can find some good synergy between the carbon and a real nice leather job in the middle it would truly be one of the nicest custom door mods for our cars out there.
