I agree with both those sentiments. Members here have been really helpful with advice.. But I wouldn't want to do it again if I had a choice.
I only drove my car for about 3 months & 2K miles on the new TOB before my car was totaled, but I never experienced any issues you're describing.
if I get another 86, I'm definitely getting an '18 or newer to [hopefully] avoid the defective TOB.
