I have a feeling that you would be best off just getting an axle back muffler that gives you a pleasant sound to your ears, drop in a free-er flowing air filter and leave the rest of the engine and powertrain alone.
There ya go - all modded up (or at least it will sound like it) and warranty work should not be denied.
