Hit a patch of black ice a few days ago, out of nowhere. The roads, otherwise, were dry, it wasn't snowing, traction was good. Downshifted, came around a corner and got on the gas as I usually do (more aggressively than most basic drivers would in a standard grocery run, but less aggressively than an "enthusiast" even close to winding out a "performance" sports car) and the back end broke loose VERY suddenly and suprisingly. Equally suddenly and surprisingly, the nannies kicked in and straightened the car out faster than I could have.. and I'm pretty good on bad roads, all humility aside. Quite humbling. In this case, ... here's to nannies!
