I would be interested to know how many potential shoppers for the STI went to the EVO X for the sake of auto (probably other more important factors in swaying their purchase choice). In the end, I only want for the FT-86 to succeed so if that means to have automatic transmissions available in all trims and models, then so be it. But, like I said, it would be nice to know that a fellow driver of a specific trim is driving manual and shares your enthusiast's/performance interests.
THIS. Well said dude. Its somewhat the same with the Cobalt SS crew. The iriginal intent was anyone with the wide open grill had forced induction,t hen Chevy went and made the 2.4L "SS-NA" (my old car's motor) and gave it that same design. That car is more often sold to chicks in autos who want sporty without the insurance premium. It also was an auto and manual (Getrag F23) trim where as the SSSC and SSTC both were 5-speed Saab F35 manual only. Drives the elitists nuts. Idc cuz its just my beater atm since it has almost no clutch left and I am driving it til the broken transmission input shaft shreds the flywheel and clutch totally. Then its time to fix and sell.
