it's entirely up to you and your preference.

metal flake paints like the white or the blue are very susceptible to variances. laying down the paint in slightly different ways will make the metal flake lay differently, making the light reflect differently, which will change the shade it appears at certain angles or light sources.

blending reduces that effect by smoothing what would be a 'hard seam' between 2 differently colored panels by smoothly transitioning between the 2 metal flake transitions.
