Repairable or not, for insurance purposes you have a 2013 worth around $11K. California is a total loss formula state, where it's totaled if the repair costs plus the salvage value is greater than the market value. I can't see any way the damage won't add up to enough to meet that threshold. If you file an insurance claim for it, they'll total it.

Even though you rear-ended someone, I'd fight to make sure the truck driver's insurance pays for it. It's not always automatically your fault if you rear-end someone who takes your lane and then stops.
