You will stiffen up the ride, there's no free lunch here. Less suspension travel = more jarring impact on the big bumps. Small imperfections will be fine, if anything the small stuff will be softer, since the shocks are now a bit underdamped versus stock.

Honestly depends on the roads where you are.

I would look at the RCE yellow springs, they lower a little under an inch. Get camber bolts for the front while you're in there, and max out your camber.
