I think you could have run 235/40/17. It's on the smaller side, but they are not considered stretched on 9 inch wheels. 245 is perfect though.
Just remember to dial in some camber to get fitment to your desire. My gut says at least -1 degree of camber, if not a little more. A new adapation/hosting of the to the autofitment calculator has been pushed lately that can give you an idea:
