Okay a little update. Some BRZ/86 friends of mine wrenched on the car for 3-4 hours and still didn't fix the issue. We tried everything....twice lol.
So (luckily) one of my friends works at Subaru and we headed over to have multiple master mechanics have a go. They hit all the usual culprits and came to a conclusion that it was either the coilover top hat (pillowball) or the ball joint. I guess now i'll replace the ball joint and see what happens, as it's probably easier to get than the Tein parts.
