It's about time. I test drove the 350z when I was shopping for a new car at the time, and it felt way too heavy. I drove the 370z when it came to to potentially replace my current car, and while it was a step in the right direction, it ultimately still had the same core problems as the 350z. Both cars are just way too heavy with way too little driver involvement. The clutch pedal feel is also among the worst I've felt in any car, ever.
The original 240z was absolutely perfect. Nissan should return to this. Start with the 2.5 (V6) from the Infiniti G25, and then turbocharge it. Keep the weight under 3000 lbs, and they should have an absolute hit on their hands.
