Chose whatever gear oil you want. Or what ever your wallet says.
I for one used mobile 1 gear oil, just because it's available at any auto parts store and it's cheap compared to oem gear oil and saves me a 30 minute drive to the dealership.

And if you don't like it, it's simple to drain and fill with whatever oil you chose.
