Oh this reminds me. The NA (first gen up to 93) Miata has a functional oil pressure gauge. People were basically idiots and complained about the gauge doing its job (showing the pressure fluctuating) so they "removed" it from 94+ and replaced it with a "constant" (idiot light) pressure gauge.


I don't believe the average joe is any more auto-educated nowadays than they were back then to bring it back without going through the same complaints, unfortunately.
