Questions Regarding 2014 FR-S Interior Parts
Hi everyone!
I recently purchased a 2014 Hot Lava Scion FR-S this past summer. I bought it certified pre-owned from a local Toyota dealership and while I’ve really enjoyed owning it so far, its interior has a couple flaws that I’d like to fix, mostly because the rest of the car is still in such great shape.
Sorry in advance for the long post by the way, but there’s a lot I’d like to address. I’ll include a brief TL;DR at the end too.
The first fix on the list has to do with the head unit, which has a flaw that's cosmetic and doesn't effect its functionality. How would I go about finding a replacement? Ideally, I’d like to buy a new old stock touchscreen head unit from Toyota directly. Does anyone here know if that is an option?
Now, being that my car is certified pre-owned, I currently have a one-year bumper-to-bumper warranty. For those of you here who are familiar with the ins and outs of this particular warranty, can I replace the head unit with the same exact model without voiding the warranty? I’d most likely get the work done at a Toyota dealership to keep everything on the up-and-up. I then plan on selling the original head unit for a reasonable price in order to recoup some of the money I spent on the new head unit and installation.
The second fix has to do with the small chrome accent piece on the vent in the center of the dashboard; or, more accurately, the lack thereof. The piece was already missing when I bought the car, so I did some research on where to find a replacement. That search unfortunately turned up nothing. So, I’m curious to see if anyone here is either selling that particular piece or knows if and where I could by it.
My last question has to do with the longer lever on the driver’s side seat. What is it supposed to do exactly? Adjust lumbar support? That’s my guess. I think the one in my FR-S might be broken. I can move it up and down, but I don’t feel any adjustment being made to the position of the seat. Is this worth bringing up next time I bring in the car for service? Or does the cost of fixing the lever or replacing the seat outweigh the lever’s usefulness?
I know that’s a lot of questions to cram into one post, so I greatly appreciate any answers and advice you guys are able to provide me with. Thanks!

TL;DR: Can I buy a replacement touchscreen head unit for a 2014 FR-S directly from Toyota? Will replacing the current head unit void my bumper-to-bumper warranty even if I have the work done at a Toyota dealership?
Where can I buy the chrome piece for the vent in the center of the dashboard? Does anyone here happen to be selling that particular piece?
What does the longer lever on the driver’s side seat do? If it’s broken, should I inquire about having it fixed or is it not worth doing?
