A 2.2L will be weak on torque. I can understand a 2.2L if the weight is around 22-2300 lbs but at 2800-2900 lbs it is too much weight for the engine. One of the key things Z owners love about daily driving the 3.7L is the fact that it doesn't feel weak below 4-5k rpms. That should never change period.
