I realized after reading this article, just how stupid I was for slacking. Mine DID leak. Were it not for functional and sensitive tpms, I may very well have caused a serious mishap.

That is a really long-winded, over the top, had-to-call-911-twice-because-i-was-so-scared article for something that should of said "I didn't know my tire was flat and the rim chewed it enough till it ripped off"
Don't feel bad for slacking, you kept it in check and didn't get to the point of damage to your tire. Worst case scenario? The nail maybe falls out..
