Why are people on this forum so eager to tear stuff up?

There's an access cap opposite the crank sensor, it's used to unbolt the torque converter from the flexplate on automatics. There's nothing to unbolt on a manual, but you can clearly see if you've reversed the reluctor wheel without removing the transmission. The teeth should point towards the engine.

Of course, the wheel may in installed the right way, but indexed wrong... if you don't remember there being an indexing pin, maybe it fell during disassembly... And that won't be visible through the access hole.

But it never hurts to do low effort checks before high effort removals.
