When I dropped my car 20mm my total toe was less than about 1mm different from previous alignment, both front and rear, camber at the rear changed from -1.25°L /-1.75°R to -2.2° both sides, this is still with the OEM LCA.

There was no noticable difference for the 1 day I drove around before getting my alignment, car drove straight, braked straight, and handled fine for the 80 odd km that it did prior to alignment.

As for the added preload on the linear springs, even with minmal stroke length left in the dampener, it still should have some, which, wouldn't effect handling to the extent the OP was mentioning.

And as the springs are linear (my old BC's were linear) the added preload woud not effect the spring rate.

Unless of course the bump stops were fully compressed, that may/would cause issues on even a slightly rough pavement.

But, as the OP has not posted pictures or alignment specs it's all conjecture.
