Look. The 4C is not for everyone. It's a small niche car. Obviously there is a small bunch of us crazy drivers that like the car. The Miata/FR-S/BRZ/86 makes more sense from a price/performance consideration. The Boxster (S)/Cayman is a better ALL AROUND car than the 4C.

Yes ... I miss the linear, high 7000-8000 revs of a NA engine. What I don't miss is the lack of torque at low rpms characteristic of small NA engines.

I've been fortunate to have owned a couple of 911 turbos (996TT and 997TT) and most recently a 1st gen R8 V10. Great cars. Plenty of power. Un-usable power that is. Ownership of the FR-S reminded me of what a light weight, revvy engine could do. I couldn't stop laughing every time I was sliding around corners. For 3 yrs ... I never got a ticket in the FR-S even with all my shenanigans on the corners. One week into ownership of the R8 ..... accidently gave it too much gas entering a highway .... rear end swung out ..... cop gave me an Exhibition of Speed ticket.

When I was younger .... I owned a Fiat X1/9. Yes ... it was a piece of shit, but my god was that car fun to drive.

I cannot afford a newer Ferrari, so the next best thing was an Alfa Romeo 4C. Like I said previously ... it's a baby Scud.

The 4C is far from perfect .... which is why I like it. You have to drive it to really understand how different it is from everything things else out there.
