If bought from a dealer, did the dealer push "it's got a clean carfax", and you bought under those pretenses as one of the major decisions in you buying the car? If so, the dealer, while acting in good faith, sold a car under false pretenses and a decent lawyer might be able to get something for your troubles... depending on state of course.

I know... outside service and all that, but some states are more open to this sort of ... scamming, than others.
