Im glad you bumped this I just got some Amazon bucks to use and was going to order the Mishimoto slim fan setup. I think I ll wait to see what kind of weights you come up with. Amazon lists 12lbs shipped so packaging will be part of that weight.
Realistically I would hope for maybe 3lbs for the total setup swap. Maybe another 3 lbs for losing the driver fan. But hey $250 for 6lbs loss off the nose is much cheaper than a carbon fiber hood.
I trimmed down the side legs of the Battery mount to only have a 1/2" lip. With the stock tie bar pushing down on it still not moving anywhere. A $20 Harbor Frieght cutoff wheel is all you need.
The heat wrap I just had extra after doing my oil pan with headers. But good insurance in my book.
I don't know if you follow my build thread but did a lot more weight reduction last week off from work.
Removed all the airbags since I was losing them with the new Seats and Steering wheel. (remove at your own risk)
