They have slanted straight six’s. Bmw does sell models without a straight six but their flagship car is their BMW M4 GTS which placed pretty well in Nürburgring lap times considering the cars it bested. And the GTR is a V6 now, but the Skyline GTR, the original Godzilla, and the car that dominated in all types of motorsports, had a straight six, slightly slanted.

My point is you said a straight six puts weight at the end and makes for a poor performing car. I’m telling you that Lambos and Ferraris with V12’s have essentially two slant sixes glued together, thus by logical inference, you must believe they have even worse performance. Moreover, I named a number of cars with straight sixes that dominated in racing and are amazing handling cars.
