Back in 2003 I bought one of the very first Lancers ever imported into Canada. It was a yellow OZ Racing Rallie Edition that drew a shitload of attention around here back then. I lowered, supercharged and in general riced it right out. That car and I spent the next 4 years and almost 200,000 miles driving around for work.

I loved it but at that mileage, even though it was still in great shape, I knew I was on borrowed time so I finally gave in and traded it for an 08 GTS. I got almost nothing for it and the dealer immediately put it on a truck and sent it to auction in a city about 2 hours away.

About two weeks later a yellow OZ showed up down the street from me. It only took me about 30 seconds to realize it was my old flame! I stopped and talked to the new owner and was glad that it was in good hands. That guy drove the poor old thing another 100K over the next few years. It got totaled in a rear end accident (who can't see a bright yellow car stopped in front of them?) about two years ago. When totaled it was still rust free and had never had any major work done on it beyond the normal maintenance required on a high mileage car.

It can be fun seeing your old car especially when it is obviously giving somebody else pleasure.
