Wrong. PV=nRT. Meaning a higher intake temperature will increase the volume of the air, making it less dense prior to being compressed. The intercooler helps to increase it's density AFTER it's been compressed. The compressor's efficiency is still impacted by intake temperatures and pressures.
So the 2nd part, pressures. Ram air can work on a Turbo. Any increase in pressure before the compressor will reduce the operating pressure ratio that the compressor operates at. This reduces compressor speed, increases efficiency, and decreases delta temperatures for the same PSI.
