A leaking VTEC gasket is an incredibly minor issue. At least it would be on my GS-R, which, at 330k miles, has never had a VTEC malfunction of any kind.

Yeah - a little surprised that the P/S system in Acura/Honda seems to be a common failure point.
My mechanic pointed out that he'd seen a lot of hydraulic-steering Honda/Acura cars with the same problem (this was, sadly, not the mechanic I took the TSX to for a PPI, or else I'd have saved my money and walked away).
I was so looking forward to driving something with hydraulic steering again...
