No, I suspect the overall percentage of spun bearings is quite low, but there doesn't seem to be a consensus on that in this thread. Admittedly the subject here has been more about the possible cause, rather than frequency. I'll take the car to the track a few days a year and use it as my DD, which means it will get pretty well thrashed every day.
I'm coming off 180,000 miles on a pair of Miatas over a 14-year period with no internal engine problems. Maybe I just got spoiled.
