Gotcha. I agree with the 16" having better ride quality (on a 50-55 series tire) on a straight line, versus a 17" wheel tends to have a 40-45 series tire. Then there are advantages of having a shorter sidewall (lower series) tire as well. Wheel weight (all things being equal, same wheel brand/model) will be less in the 16" , but the tire weight between a 16" to 17" is negligible
