They also switched the spark plugs, but the problem continued. They charged my $138 for the diagnostic and said that it had a cracked cylinder. Since they are a Subaru dealership, they could not repair it under warranty, but recommended I take it to the Boerne Toyota for repairs. They even recommended the Sales Adviser.
Today the Sales Adviser called and said that the item isn't covered under warranty because my FRS was modified. The only modifications have been:
-quick drain oil plug
-aftermarket air filter
-oil cooler
-catch can
-front strut brace
-rear strut brace
-brake pedal brace.

My repairs aren't going to be covered. Do you guys have any recommendations. Repairs are in the three thousand dollar range
Did the dealership submit the claim to Toyota, or does the dealership not want to submit the warranty claim? If the dealership hasn't submitted the claim, you could contact another dealership to see what they say about the car being modified. I was told that once the claim is submitted to Toyota, taking the car to another dealership is pointless. Might be something to consider.

I started working up the chain on my warranty claim by talking to the service manager, then the general manager, then Toyota Customer Relations. I had to contact customer relations twice and push hard for an FTS to go look at my car before Toyota even sent someone from corporate to look at the engine.
