I didn't notice about the tS thing, but not a big mistake after all. Even Subaru can't decide what the tS or RA acronyms really mean and they come out with different meanings depending the time period.
About the wing I think he is right for street legal speeds. He mentioned also about a flex on the boot lid that I never thought about it until I saw this video:
It is from an wrx sti, but I believe the same holds for the brz too.
In general I agree that he could be a bit better as a journalist, but maybe you should check his bio. He was basically a race driver and I believe that his opinion should count. After all he was considering buying a brz and he regrets he didn't do it, but overall he would prefer the base model and not the tS.
