Start with 'Bulldog adhesion promoter.' Follow the instructions on the can-- basically you spray it, wait for a certain amount of time, then paint on whatever you want. It will bite into the plastic and whatever you put after it (primer, basecoat, or even cheap spraypaint) will stick. That way you're not limited to cheesy furniture paints, and it will be much more durable.

If you don't use Bulldog first, chances are very good the paint will flake off.
