B14's ride pretty similar to stock when lowered <1" as above you don't need anything else (although camber bolts are a worthwhile addition imho). I never went lower but they may get a little harsh as you begin relying on the bump stop.
Other coilovers probably ride better when lowered, Bilstein seems to target that 'oem+' feeling which means that they don't go too far outside the box.
