IDC. They first came out only with 6-cyl in 1964. It's the original definition of Mustang and Pony Car. None of the trims would have survived/existed without it so you admiring those other trims is an admission to that whether you like it or not.
Also outperforms the previous gen V8. Doesn't matter it's "V6". You know what sounds worse than V6 (both by name and noise)? I4 turbo.
