Judging close distances, however, is nearly impossible. In addition, with the falloff nature of the front hood, my wife often can't tell where the front of the car is located. It cost me a total of about $70 for the whole thing so it was worth the cost. Given that I run the wires carefully, installation took a total of about 2.5 hours.

Thank you for serving our country, wounded veteran.
I remember back in the day, in CT, I had hung a fishing bobber on a string, so that the then mrs humfrz would know where to stop (when the bobber touched the windshield) when entering the garage. One day, one of my sons couldn't resist giving it a swat, which wound it around the ceiling beam … thus making the string shorter. Yep, you guessed what happened the next time she pulled into the garage ..
Did I mention she is the ex mrs humfrz ??
Carry on, soldier.
