This is probably true, although I feel like Subaru has much better brand recognition in Europe due to the greater popularity of WRC and Rallying, than in NA.
I just find it weird with a brand built so heavily on Motorsports and Sporting nature, they're completely missing from any real Sports car racing (except maybe JGTC and a few other Japanese spec series).
I guess they really don't want to deviate at all from the Rally/Street persona they've built up over that past few decades.
