Someplace I have a picture of a US Army five ton with a placard on the fuel tank saying "do not fill above this line". There is a nice line stenciled near the top of the tank. There is also no way in hell to see how much fuel is in the tank much less tell how close to the line it is.

There was a huge placard on the dash showing you where all the other placards are.
