Or have a sticker to remind me to unbolt a certain section before removing this piece.
Or just a cool looking logo sticker.
I only want to add stickers that are heat resistant and won't peel or wave anytime soon. Last thing I want to do is place something that melts glue and creates a mess.
Any advice?

I have stickers all over my car, engine bay included. I make stickers. I use high quality automotive vinyl and laminate it with either textured or clear laminate.
The fuse box cover has a bumpy finish. Not ideal for stickers. I have one there. My K&N sticker is good to go where it is. As long as the surface is smooth and not too hot you will be fine.
Any sticker that I have had fail, is easily cleaned with a rag and rubbing alcohol. Even on the paint after a year. I have had 10 different stickers on my rear bumper.
