Need graphics card or a fix

I'm running a NVIDIA 7800GT/driver 9.18.13.908. It's a dinosaur I know and since I don't play PC games any more I wasn't planning on updating it.
Now the problem is I can't use Google maps in 3d. If I go to Google Earth, I can navigate a little and then , it goes black.
Could be drivers and could just be it's getting tired, not sure. I had some artifacting and updating the drivers helped that a while ago.
I tried a bunch of things by searching "Google maps 3d mode" and got nowhere. Apparently I am running in "Lite mode" which will not allow 3d rendering on the maps.

Any computer dudes have any ideas or should I just get a new card? Don't really want to update since we are in a retard age of graphics cards right now.
I built my son a gaming rig 4 years ago with a GTX970 and the card in there actually stayed the same price....4 years later, that's bonkers.
