I tend to think that the gold plan is worth it on the recent turbo Subarus except for the Forester, which is considerably de-tuned hence buying some safety margin. Those turbo Subarus, however, were blowing engines left and right, right from the start.
Reliability of the BRZ is yet to be determined.
