Yeah we in Canada are definitely metric as is most of the world, since 1975 or 76 as I recall. It's actually a far superior system but the US and UK keep hanging on to Imperial measurement with its difficult units conversions and of course the US had to have their own non-imperial gallon just to fuck things up even more.
Canadians typically talk miles or Fahrenheit when speaking with Americans if: they are old enough to have a feel for conversions or have spent significant time in the US or UK.
Now, measuring weight in stone is absolutely fucking ridiculous but so is eating bacon fat on toast.

They started changing it in 72. I spent my Public School years in Imperial and my High School year in metric. It was confusing until they started to actually change the quantities and signs in 76.
The US can't even spell it right.
