How much did you end up paying for another transmission vs how much should I expect to pay for input or mid-shaft bearing replacement? I know the part is only about 100 dollars.

Ultramaroon for that question …….. he's the expert on tearing up ….. errrrr ….. I mean repairing transmissions in these cars......
I reckon if it were me, I would buy a new transmission, clutch, pressure plate and TOB and have those parts installed by a transmission shop.
Oh, Bubba just spoke up and said he would get another transmission, clutch & pressure plate out of a wrecking yard install them along with a new TOB …….
