FWIW, In my experience, it seems you can often get a better deal with a vehicle already on the lot than one they get from another dealer (especially if that one has been sitting there a long time.) I just purchased another-nother new car and the dealer closest to me had a different model car in my second favorite color (red) with an optional Recaro package, which was like $2,500 or something, and an STI short shift kit among other options. I told them I did not want to pay for the Recaro package and instead I just wanted a WR blue base model (without the Recaro package and its remote keyless access and push-button start.) They found a model in the specs I wanted at a dealer like 70-ish miles away. They said they could get that car for me, but then offered the one on their lot with the Recaro package to me for the pricing of the one without this package. Needless to say I took them up on the offer.

The money to transport the vehicle sounds reasonable if they are going to send it on a trailer, but the question I would have is whether or not you would get a better deal at that other dealer? Do any other dealers in your area have a car in the configuration you want? (or, a car in the configuration you want + options you do not necessarily want to pay for?)

IMO, at least where I am at, $27,3 for a Limited 6-speed is pretty reasonable, provided it has the Performance Package. With that said, I think you may still be able to get the car for a bit less.
