Snoopyjh ……. I'm ah feared you are Waaaaaay overthinking this whole shifting thing. As mentioned, just listen to the engine …… it will tell you when to shift …….
If the engines dies, you are in a too high of gear, select a lower gear; if the governor isn't "working" you may be able to shift into a higher gear ……
