There are a lot of usable power between 4500-7000 rpm. Downshift if you don't feel you have power. With this arrangement you are able to continue accelerate at high speed. This is designed for road racing. There are other systems that will provide more power low down.

There are still significant gain at lower rpm starting at 2000rpm. I am using a gear higher regularly for easy driving and for keeping noise down

Uphills used to be a problem for me, now the mountains shake in utter fear of my massive torque figures *cue maniacal laugh*
I pulled on an X6 M just this weekend, in fact. I didn’t win but it felt like I did! This kit makes the car much more useable, I’d compare the driving to a 335i. Seemingly endless torque down low and a high end that gives you a headrush and soggy pants I would never think to call this “underwhelming”. I’d blame that on the driver.
