Wel to start off the car does not have a DCT nor clutches of any type in the AT. Even if it did they would not be overheating on downshifts.
If you oil is only 1/3" above the hole that isn't the issue either. As said early in this thread it is probably just the new car oil burning off. You just smell it at low speed because it isn't blowing away behind you.
