..it is pretty strange indeed especially when all other rumors were hinting at a Corvette & Cayman competitor...but keep in mind that article was from an Australian site and them Aussies have posted a lot of clickbait bullshit over the past 2 years.
But to be fair, the Aussies get kinda fucked when it comes to car choices and pricing..they don't get the Camaro or Corvette and their base 718 Cayman is nearly double the price of a Nismo 370Z whereas in the states the Porsche is only a $11 K premium, or an extra 25% above the 370Z's USD MSRP.
Though to make matters worse, at least for the folks down under, since the MK5 Supra will be built in Austria, I am assuming it will end up getting a ridiculous price closer to the Cayman.
