Here are some pics of what I did. I blacked out the chrome ring around the turn signal, and I blacked out the inside of the chrome reflector around the projector and turn signal. As you can see, I didn't black out the chrome that is directly around the boomerang or the chrome around the boomerang that give it depth, nor did I completely black out the chrome around the turn signal that is recessed. I didn't care for the skinny boomerang look, so that is why I chose to keep some chrome to highlight the boomerang. See pics:
