My first track day was in the rain and it was fucking awesome.
I think it depends on conditions, my first day I'd describe as "damp everywhere" and it began drying in the afternoon which was perfect, but if it was more like "navigate the track of 1000 lakes" it might be a bit sketchy. How the track takes on water is a huge part of this so maybe some locals can comment on what to watch out for.
It all comes down to your personal level of confidence, leave your ego at home and with a good instructor you'll have a blast. Good luck.
