I don't really harbor any negative opinions about the Corolla. It was fine for what it was, a dumpy econobox. I'm objecting to people making more out of it than it was and trying to pretend it's a sports car because they watched an anime, then buying into Toyota's idiotic marketing nonsense connecting the 86 to a non-existent sports car heritage.
