Or maybe he saw the European Tour Championship race in 1986 where a modified 86 beat cars like the BMW M6 and Merkur XR4T.
The GTS was available with a 5-speed transmission, LSD, 4 wheel disc brakes, and an engine that revved to 7,500rpm. That's pretty damn impressive for an affordable car made in 1985. Add Toyota reliability to the mix and you have a hell of a daily driver.
